01

Who we are

BoomWall10K (“BoomWall”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is an Australian-operated online creator discovery, growth and leaderboard platform available to users worldwide.

BoomWall allows eligible creators to connect supported social media accounts, participate in weekly growth rankings (“Boom Weeks”), appear on leaderboards, nominate public content for discovery and, where available, purchase or subscribe to Wall placements.

Before commercial launch, this section will be updated with the full legal name and business details of the entity operating BoomWall10K.

02

Who can participate

Anyone may browse publicly available parts of BoomWall. You must be at least 18 years old to enter a Boom Week, connect a social media account, purchase a Wall placement or start a paid subscription.

BoomWall is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children for creator participation or paid services.

03

Information you give us

Depending on how you use BoomWall, you may provide information such as:

  • your email address and contact details;
  • your nominated public social media content or video;
  • your creator/content category;
  • information submitted through forms or Contact Us;
  • privacy, support or account requests;
  • information relating to paid placements or subscriptions; and
  • other information you choose to provide to us.
04

Information from TikTok and connected services

If you choose to connect TikTok, we may receive information that you authorise TikTok to provide through its official services and APIs. Depending on the permissions you grant and the features available, this may include:

  • a TikTok account identifier;
  • username and display name;
  • profile image and authorised profile information;
  • follower and other authorised account statistics; and
  • information about public videos where you authorise video access.

We use connected-account information only for purposes connected with providing and operating BoomWall and as otherwise described in this Policy.

TikTok controls the information and permissions made available through its services. You may be able to manage or revoke those permissions through TikTok.

05

Information BoomWall creates

BoomWall also creates information from your participation in the service. This may include:

  • your starting follower count for a Boom Week;
  • your starting Boom category;
  • follower counts verified during a Boom Week and the time of verification;
  • follower growth recorded during a Boom Week;
  • leaderboard position and ranking history;
  • Boom 20 qualification and historical results;
  • entry status and connection status; and
  • Wall placement and subscription status where applicable.

Boom categories and leaderboard positions may be calculated automatically from verified or authorised account statistics and BoomWall's published Boom rules.

06

Technical information

When you access BoomWall, we and the technology providers supporting the service may process technical information needed to operate, secure and improve the website. This may include IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, security logs and similar technical data.

If BoomWall later introduces non-essential analytics, advertising or similar tracking technologies, this Policy and any required consent mechanisms will be updated before those technologies are used.

07

Why we use your information

We may collect, hold, use and disclose information to:

  • provide, operate and secure BoomWall;
  • verify creator accounts and entries;
  • record starting follower counts and assign Boom categories;
  • calculate growth and leaderboard positions;
  • determine Boom 20 results;
  • display creator profiles, nominated content and results;
  • manage entries and connected accounts;
  • provide paid Wall placements and subscriptions;
  • process and administer payments through payment providers;
  • communicate with you about your entry, account or purchases;
  • respond to enquiries, privacy requests and complaints;
  • detect fraud, manipulation, bots, abuse or security threats;
  • maintain records and comply with legal obligations; and
  • improve BoomWall and develop new features.
08

What is public

BoomWall is designed to help people discover creators. If you enter a Boom Week, some information relating to your participation is intended to be public.

This may include your:

  • TikTok username and display name;
  • profile image;
  • Boom category;
  • follower growth;
  • leaderboard position;
  • Boom 20 result;
  • nominated public content; and
  • historical Boom Week results.

Your email address, authentication credentials and other private account-management information are not intended to appear on public leaderboards.

09

Historical Boom results

Boom Week results may remain publicly available after the week ends so that BoomWall can maintain a historical record of creator growth and achievements.

Historical results are retained by default, but they are not necessarily irrevocable. You may contact us to request removal or anonymisation where appropriate. We will consider requests having regard to applicable law, the nature of the information, legitimate record-keeping needs and the integrity of historical results.

10

TikTok connection and disconnection

Connecting TikTok is optional, but an active connection may be required to enter and remain eligible in a Boom Week because BoomWall needs authorised information to verify and update results.

If you revoke or disconnect access, BoomWall may no longer be able to update your statistics or complete a final follower-count verification. Where a final verification cannot be completed, BoomWall may use the most recent follower count successfully verified within the preceding 24 hours to determine your final Boom Week ranking, as described in the Terms.

You may contact us if you need assistance disconnecting your account or managing information associated with the connection.

11

Payments

If BoomWall offers paid Wall placements or subscriptions, payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider.

BoomWall does not intend to store complete payment-card details on its own database where those details are handled directly by the payment provider. We may receive transaction information such as payment status, amount, currency, transaction identifiers and subscription status where necessary to provide and administer the purchased service.

12

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information.

We may disclose or make information available where reasonably necessary to:

  • technology, database, cloud and website hosting providers;
  • connected platforms such as TikTok;
  • payment processors and billing providers;
  • email, security, fraud-prevention and support providers;
  • professional advisers where reasonably necessary;
  • regulators, courts or authorities where required or authorised by law;
  • protect BoomWall, creators, users or others from fraud, abuse or harm; or
  • support a legitimate business restructure, sale or transfer, subject to applicable law.

We may also publish the creator information described in the “What is public” section as part of providing BoomWall.

13

Overseas processing and disclosure

BoomWall is operated from Australia but is intended for a worldwide audience and relies on online service providers that may operate, process information or engage service providers in other countries.

Personal information may therefore be processed or disclosed outside Australia where necessary to provide the service. Before commercial launch, we will update this section to identify likely overseas recipient countries where it is practicable to do so based on the providers BoomWall actually uses.

Where Australian privacy law applies to an overseas disclosure, we will take steps required by applicable law in relation to that disclosure.

14

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy, to maintain appropriate business and security records, resolve disputes and meet applicable legal obligations.

Different information may be kept for different periods. For example, authentication credentials and private contact information may no longer be required after an account relationship ends, while transaction records may need to be retained for legal, accounting or taxation purposes. Historical public Boom results may be retained as described above.

Where information is no longer reasonably required, we will take appropriate steps to delete, destroy or de-identify it where required and appropriate.

15

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of BoomWall to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

No online system can guarantee absolute security. You should also protect access to your own accounts and notify us if you believe information associated with BoomWall has been compromised.

16

Access, correction and deletion

You may contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request disconnection of a connected account, or request deletion or anonymisation of personal information where applicable.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some information may need to be retained where required or permitted by law, for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, transaction record-keeping or other legitimate purposes.

Privacy and account requests can be submitted through the BoomWall Contact Us page.

17

Communications and marketing

We may send operational communications necessary to administer your entry, connected account, purchase, subscription, security or support request.

Where we send promotional or marketing communications, we will do so in accordance with applicable requirements and provide an appropriate way to unsubscribe from marketing messages. Unsubscribing from marketing does not necessarily stop service messages needed to operate an active entry, purchase or account relationship.

18

Privacy questions and complaints

If you have a privacy question or believe BoomWall has mishandled your personal information, please contact us through the Contact Us page and identify the request as a privacy matter.

We will review privacy complaints and respond within a reasonable period. We may ask for additional information where necessary to understand or investigate the issue.

Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply, you may also have the right to contact an applicable privacy regulator if you are not satisfied with our response.

19

Worldwide users

BoomWall is operated from Australia and is intended to be accessible internationally. Privacy rights differ between countries and regions.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit privacy rights or other protections that cannot lawfully be excluded in the jurisdiction that applies to you. As BoomWall expands into particular markets, we may provide additional regional privacy notices where required.

20

Changes to this Policy

BoomWall will evolve, and this Privacy Policy may change as our features, providers and legal obligations change.

We will publish the current version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Where a change is material and applicable law requires additional notice or consent, we will take appropriate steps before the change takes effect.

21
