FAQ
Everything you need to know about entering, winning, the Wall and where the 10K comes from.
Why is it called BoomWall10K?+
BoomWall10K has a maximum capacity of 10,000 Wall Units. Every creator, business or brand placement uses part of that space. The Wall does not show thousands of empty boxes — it grows as videos are added.
What is a Wall Unit?+
A Wall Unit is the building block used to measure space on the BoomWall. Small, Medium and Large video placements use different amounts of Wall space. The exact unit sizes will depend on the final Wall layout.
Is it free to enter the Boom?+
Yes. Entering the weekly Boom competition is free. Paid Wall tiles are optional and are separate from the competition.
How are the winners chosen?+
Your score is the number of new TikTok followers gained from the moment you enter until the Boom closes. The Top 4 creators in each follower category make that week’s Boom 20.
What are the five categories?+
Micro is under 1K followers, Emerging is 1K–10K, Rising is 10K–100K, Established is 100K–1M, and Major is 1M+. Your category is based on your follower count when you enter that Boom Week.
What if my follower count moves into another category during the week?+
Your category is locked when you enter. If you cross into another follower range during the week, you remain in your original category until that Boom Week finishes.
Can I enter halfway through the week?+
Yes. You can enter at any time before the Boom closes. Your starting follower count is recorded when you enter, so entering later simply gives you less time to gain new followers.
When does the Boom close?+
The weekly Boom closes at 5:00pm AEST every Sunday. Follower counts, rankings and nominated video URLs are locked at that time.
When does the new Wall go live?+
The new Wall launches at 8:00am AEST every Monday with the latest Boom 20 and the current paid Wall placements.
Which TikTok video appears if I make the Boom 20?+
You nominate a TikTok video URL when you enter. You can update that nominated video during the week. Whatever valid video URL is saved at 5:00pm AEST Sunday is the one used on the Wall if you finish in the Top 4.
Can I enter every week?+
Yes. Each Boom Week is a new competition, so creators can enter again when the next week begins.
What happens if I miss the Top 4?+
You can race again the following week for free, or choose to buy a Wall tile and appear alongside that week’s Boomers.
How much do paid Wall tiles cost?+
Launch pricing is planned at $15 AUD for a Small Weekly tile, $25 AUD for a Medium Weekly tile, and $120 AUD for a Premium Large monthly placement.
Do paid tiles automatically renew?+
No. The current plan is for Wall placements to be purchased for a set period without requiring a subscription. You can jump on and off the Wall whenever it suits you.
Do paid tiles appear when someone filters the Wall by category?+
Yes. Paid and premium tiles are assigned to a Wall category, so they remain visible alongside the relevant Boomers when visitors filter the Wall.
Can businesses and brands be on the Wall too?+
Yes. BoomWall10K is designed for creators, businesses and brands. Businesses and brands can purchase Wall placements even if they are not competing in the weekly creator race.
Can I buy followers to win?+
No. Manipulated, automated or otherwise inauthentic follower growth is not intended to qualify for the Boom 20. BoomWall10K will need rules and verification processes to deal with suspicious growth before public launch.
How does BoomWall10K get my follower count?+
The planned system uses TikTok’s official developer tools. Entrants connect their TikTok account and authorise BoomWall10K to access the profile statistics needed to run the competition.
Will all 10,000 Wall Units be visible from day one?+
No. The Wall begins with the Boom 20 and a small number of paid and available placements. It expands as more creators and businesses join, rather than displaying thousands of unused spaces.
The 10K
10,000 Wall Units. One living Wall.
BoomWall10K starts small and grows as creators, brands and businesses join. The 10,000-unit capacity is the idea behind the name — not 10,000 empty boxes waiting on launch day.
